Mentoring Ministry:

REST wants to encourage you and other Christian leaders through our new Mentoring Ministry.  The goal of the REST Mentoring Ministry is to connect pastors and ministers and Christian leaders in the workplace with mentors.  REST staff will set up one-on-one meetings between pastors, ministers, and Christian leaders and mentors.  

These meetings will give mentors opportunities to provide encouragement for Christian leaders as they share from their wealth of knowledge, wisdom, and life experience.  All of the mentors who serve in the REST Mentoring Ministry are Christian leaders who have spent a significant amount of time in the trenches in ministry or the workplace and have faced and come out on the other side of obstacles along the way.  Mentors are Christian men and women who model character and integrity in how they live their life.

Spiritual Retreats:

REST seeks to provide Christian leaders with times of renewal and restoration. Various retreats are offered throughout the year to provide attendees with opportunities to refresh and re-energize their souls.

Couples Retreats:

The goal of REST’s Couples Retreats is to provide Christian leaders and their spouses with a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere away from home. At these retreats, attendees can take a break from the demands of life and spend some valuable time reconnecting.

Events:

It is the goal of REST to help Christian leaders cope with and navigate various life challenges. Through seminars, training opportunities, and workshops, participants will be better equipped to effectively take care of themselves as they take care of their business, congregation, or family.

Life Coaching:

Are you experiencing burnout?
Are you wondering if you are where you really need to be?
Do you need help finding a sense of direction?
Are you encountering some obstacles to reaching a personal, work, or relationship goal?
Do you need to find a sense of balance in your life?
Are you preparing for an upcoming transition, or are you right in the middle of a transition?

REST provides Life Coaching for Christian leaders who may need assistance determining and reaching personal goals as they navigate the challenges of life.

What is Life Coaching?

Life Coaching is a rapidly growing profession which is quite different from counseling or therapy. The Life Coaching process focuses on specific personal projects, business issues, transitions in the client's personal life, and relationships. In other words, Life Coaching looks at what is going on in your life right now and encourages the discovery of what your obstacles or challenges might be. Furthermore, Life Coaching helps you to chart your course to make your life what you want it to be.

Individual, Marital, and Family Counseling:

REST provides confidential counseling services for individuals, couples, and families. A wide variety of issues may be addressed in counseling. These issues include, but are not limited to, the following:

Pre-marital counseling

Marital and relationship conflict

  • Parent/child relationship issues
  • Single parent and stepfamily issues
  • Anger management
  • Divorce recovery
  • Grief and loss
  • Anxiety and panic attacks
  • Adjustment problems
  • Stress management
  • Depression
  • Addictions

REST counseling services are provided by Christian men and women who are Licensed Professional Counselors or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists in the State of Tennessee.

Confidentiality:

Providing confidential services is of the utmost importance to the REST staff.

REST counseling services are provided at the LifeCare office in Franklin, Tennessee. In an effort to truly provide confidential services, the REST office has a separate entrance for clients participating in REST coaching and counseling sessions.

Vocational Counseling:

REST seeks to provide vocation counseling for Christian leaders who are changing jobs, thinking about changing careers, and considering decisions about their future. Career assessments and development are available as well.
